Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at—all from Day One.Job DescriptionJob Description:Leads the deal process with internal partners, including finance, risk, legal, compliance, etc. to set partnership terms, support contract negotiations, develop insource versus outsource analysis, communicate offers with sales team, and evaluate the profitability impacts for both Elan and prospective partners.Manages multiple projects across departments in a fast-paced environment; able to influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.Collaborate with sales team members to move opportunities through the deal stage process.Analyzes loan portfolio purchase opportunities, identify portfolio trends and profitability, and collaborate with sales team members and finance teams to determine optimal financial terms that meet internal objectives and the needs of our prospective partners.In support of sales presentations, creates financial pro forma forecasts and scenarios detailing performance under a traditional credit card payments insourced model versus an outsourced credit card issuing model.Shepherd deals through our internal due diligence process with compliance, risk, and legal teams to gain executive approvals and complete the closing process.Performs ad hoc research to analyze industry trends, competitors, portfolio key performance drivers, and various model assumptions to support business objectives.Maintains business development processes and procedures.Obtains deal approvals and facilitates internal closing procedures.Basic Qualifications for this position: Bachelor's degree with a focus on finance or related field of study.Prefer three or more years of experience in business development, investment banking, valuation, financial analysis, or related industry experience.Additional Skills/Experience:Have a working knowledge of loan portfolio analysis and valuation.Possess knowledge of GAAP accounting standards and how GAAP is applied to Financial Institutions and Loan Portfolios.Possess a strong understanding of financial institution financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.Able to create executive-ready written materials, presentations, and financial summaries, utilizing Microsoft Office suite tools such as Word and PowerPoint.Able to translate financial analysis into partner-facing recommendations.Able to create Excel-based analytical tools to drive informed business decisions within a team environment.Able to make critical decisions independently and work well within a team environment.Is familiar with banking and credit union business models and industry regulation.Have experience managing CRM/deal pipelines.Have experience utilizing Microsoft Copilot.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.
