Interventional Radiologic Technologist

Assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases by providing technical support and ensuring smooth procedural flow. Operate fluoroscopic equipment, prepare procedural trays, and maintain sterile techniques to facilitate high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Support proceduralists during intricate interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures by scrubbing in and circulating.
• Operate fluoroscopic imaging systems, including floor and ceiling mounted modalities, to assist during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Retrieve and circulate complex products and supplies needed during interventions while maintaining infection control standards.
• Operate power injection devices for iodinated contrast media during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention measures during setup and procedures.
• Document procedures accurately in electronic medical records and transmit images to PACS systems.

Qualifications:

• Hold NJ radiographic licensure with current ARRT (Radiography) certification.
• Possess 35 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist.
• Maintain BLS certification from an AHS-credentialed American Heart Association or equivalent.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating fluoroscopic and power injection equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multidisciplinary team members.
• High school diploma or GED, with an associate degree or completion of an accredited radiographic program preferred.
