Pharmacy Support Specialist

Location: New York, New York. Shift: Day Flex (United States of America). Responsibilities Provide documentation and clinical data required by the patient’s third‑party payer. Accurately and completely document all information into the electronic medical record (Epic). Monitor pharmacy claim data. Identify critical reimbursement issues. Work with Finance and Billing to resolve issues in an expedient and initiative‑taking manner. Participate in training and continued competency activities and perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Medical field experience. 2+ years of relative professional experience in a hospital, clinic, physician office, payer business office, case management, or social work department. Proficiency in at least one hospital electronic medical record system and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access). Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of government and commercial payer requirements to ensure accurate and compliant charging and billing of medications. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent job experience. Demonstrated expertise in logical thinking, data preparation, and analysis. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
