Financial Controller

Start Date: ASAP Responsibilities: Financial reporting: Oversee the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process in accordance with GAAP and IFRS. Contract Performance and P&L analysis: Analyzing cost structures by SKU and program, margins, and operational KPIs to drive profitability and find operational efficiencies. Meticulously manage the exclusive supply contracts to ensure proper profitability. Budgeting and forecasting: Partner with company leaders to build annual operating plans, monitor variances, and deliver rolling forecasts of our divisional products to the parent company. Assisting with M&A processes, if needed. Investment Oversight: Review and analyze financial data from investments. Supplier and Vendor Financial Reviews Internal controls: Enforce corporate financial policies, safeguard divisional assets, and manage internal or external audit coordination. Team leadership: Mentor, support, and scale the local sales and operations team in making sound financial decisions for the company. Assist AZ Gems HQ, if needed, when capacity exists. Experience: 3-5 years of Accounting and Finance experience, with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. M&A Experience Preferred. Prior experience as a Controller in a mid-size or larger company required; experience with import/export, distribution, or food/CPG industries highly preferred. CPA credential highly preferred. Strong understanding of US GAAP, accounting internal controls, and financial reporting. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams. Advanced proficiency in accounting/ERP software Excellent critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills. Experience with cost accounting and inventory management in a multi-entity or international environment a plus. Why Join Us?
