Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: PALS, BLS, APHON (for oncology) Must-Have: Pediatric experience in a hospital; Pediatric Oncology experience preferred Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Pediatrics unit. The unit has a total of 19 beds, including 13 pediatric beds and 6 oncology beds. The staff consists of 22 members, including pediatric and oncology nurses. On day shifts, there are 4 RNs, 1 charge nurse, 1 respiratory therapist, and 1 patient care technician. Night shifts are similarly staffed. Patient ratios can range from 1:3 to 1:5. The equipment used includes Alaris pumps. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Candidates must be detail-oriented and organized. A commitment to providing care to pediatric patients is essential. Weekend shifts will be required as part of the role.
