Job Overview A law firm seeks a tax controversy associate in San Francisco, CA, with 3-5 years of experience to assist with complex tax disputes and litigation. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation. Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs and motions. Assist in managing complex cases from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Collaborate with legal and business professionals on case strategies. Participate in high-level legal activities such as court hearings and negotiations. Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. Engage in professional development and community involvement. Requirements Experience with law firms, large accounting firms, or government agencies. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience interacting with clients and legal teams preferred. JD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in the state of California. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong research and analytical skills. Attention to detail and good judgment. Organizational and management skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
