QA/QC TechnicianPay Rate: $24/hr depending on experienceLocation: 801 Dayton Avenue, Ames, IA 50010 Shift: Mon - Thurs 6 am to 4:30 pm PPE: Steel toed shoes (hard hat, safety glasses and gloves will be provided), long pantsThis position will work primarily in a physical wet chemistry lab for our seed treatment and crop protection production facility. This position would be responsible for:Inspection of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods using established test methodsCalibration and maintenance of lab equipmentEffective communication of batch results to the appropriate personnelReporting of non-conformances related to qualityGeneration and maintenance of records related to product qualityMaintaining a clean and safe working environmentLaboratory testing to support Quality Analyst on day-to-day projectsSecondary support may be needed to assist in our microbiology lab at times as well. The additional duties may include:Preparation of media for use in both laboratoriesMicrobial Testing and Plate ReadingAssist in plant swabbing programAutoclaving of glassware and solutionsBasic Qualifications:Ability to distinguish colorsHigh attention to detailStrong team playerHigh School Diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications:SAP or other manufacturing software experience preferred.Previous Quality Control experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in Chemistry OR Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year of experience with wet chemistry lab techniques.If keen, kindly send latest resume and answers the below questions:Q1.
