RN - CVOR - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Detroit MI - Onsite

Job Description:

Shift Hours:

• 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, or 6:00 AM-6:30 PM,

There is an option for five 8's, four 10's, or three 12's with a 6:00 AM start time

Schedule Notes:

• Duration: 13 weeks

•Certification: BLS

• Licensed in Michigan

• Must Have: OR experience, Cardiac Scrub experience,

• Block Schedule: Yes

• On-Call: Yes (48 hours of call per six week schedule. Must be available 1 weekend per month)

• 48 hours of call in a 6-week schedule period required

Job Summary:
• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care

• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family

• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team

• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned

• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel

Required Education:
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Preferred Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)

Required Certification & Licensure:
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
