Mechanical Inspector (CWI Preferred)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, equipment, and installations
Verify compliance with blueprints, specifications, and applicable codes
Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors
Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
Perform quality assurance checks throughout project lifecycle
Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
Minimum 5+ years of mechanical inspection experience
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industry standards
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification (AWS)
ASME certification or equivalent
Experience with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing)
Familiarity with inspection software and digital reporting tools
OSHA safety certification
