About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead the integration of AI into its products and engineering workflows. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the adoption of AI across the company's offerings, from proof-of-concept to production, and will play a key role in defining and enforcing engineering standards. This hands-on, technically deep role requires a leader who can evaluate and select the appropriate technology and AI/ML platforms, as well as lead high-impact technical initiatives. The CTO will also be involved in talent management, including the growth of engineers, and will have oversight over various technical teams. Applicants for the CTO position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of executive technology leadership. The role demands a candidate with recent, hands-on experience in delivering AI/ML capabilities into production and a strong background in setting engineering standards and driving technical change. Experience in eCommerce and/or SaaS platform environments, as well as fluency with a modern tech stack, is essential. The CTO will be expected to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience and to be adept at AI governance, security, and cost controls. The impact of the role will be measured by the successful integration of AI capabilities, the establishment of engineering standards, and the overall improvement in engineering productivity and quality.
