Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to gather information on clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to establish a baseline for treatment.

• Create personalized intervention and recovery plans based on each client's unique needs and treatment goals, with a focus on evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, skill development, and peer support.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, making necessary adjustments to strategies and interventions as needed.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Provide ongoing support and resources to family members and primary caregivers, helping them understand and manage mental health challenges within the family context.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health counseling to enhance treatment delivery.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans within our electronic health record system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients encompassing various backgrounds, age groups, and mental health conditions. This includes individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction disorders, and those navigating life transitions. Your role is pivotal in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and work towards meaningful change.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills that reflect a caring and empathetic nature towards clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community health setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices for counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
