Position Summary

The Accountant works under limited supervision and follows standardized accounting practices and methods. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, assisting with budgeting and financial planning, and supporting payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and enter journal entries into the General Ledger system.
• Analyze and reconcile General Ledger transactions and account activity.
• Reconcile subsidiary ledger activity to ensure accurate financial recording.
• Support the accurate closing of financial statements.
• Comply with applicable legal requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) .

Financial Planning & Budgeting

• Assist with projecting future organizational financial needs.
• Consider financial requirements associated with organizational projects.
• Support Senior Leaders and Directors in managing financial resources.
• Assist with fiscally sound, Board-approved capital and operating budgets .

Payroll

• Assist with and/or process payroll functions.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in one of the following:

• Accounting
• Business Administration
• Finance
• Healthcare Administration
• Related business field

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience using Workday in a healthcare business/accounting environment.

Telework Eligibility

The position may be eligible for telework after:

• Supervisor approval.
• Successful training/trial period.

Telework Requirements

• Reliable, adequate internet connection with minimum 20 Mbps speed.
• If internet speed or stability is insufficient, work must be performed onsite.
• Personal virtual desktop users must use VMware Horizon 7 for off-site work.
• TCRHCC-issued laptop users must use a VPN to access internal resources.
• Teleworkers must comply with TCRHCC telework, remote access, and telework agreement policies.

Facility Overview

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is a JCAHO-accredited health center serving a 4,400-square-mile area and functioning as a referral center for the western Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The hospital has 73 beds and provides inpatient and outpatient emergency services, surgical services, OB/GYN, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, dental, and other specialty services.

The facility is located in Tuba City, Northwestern Arizona , on the Colorado Plateau and serves a culturally diverse community including Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute populations.
