Senior Systems Administrator

The IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization's information technology infrastructure in a pipe fabrication and distribution environment. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of business-critical systems.The IT Specialist reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager.

Essential Functions Statement(s) Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services, and print services. Manage virtualized and cloud server infrastructure and perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance. Monitor server health, performance, storage capacity, and system availability. Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity. Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), hybrid cloud integrations, and synchronization services. Monitor cloud resource utilization, security, and cost optimization. Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives. Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Intune. Administer user accounts, licensing, email security, retention policies, and compliance requirements. Support endpoint management and mobile device administration. Implement and maintain Microsoft security best practices and policies. Assists Network and Security Specialist in installing Wi-Fi APs, switches, and firewalls.Monitors network performance. Monitor incidents and security alerts and respond to incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats. Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, and access control management. Support compliance initiatives, audits, and documentation related to information security and operational technology environments. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high customer service standards. Assists IT Technicians at multiple locations for troubleshooting assistance and training, providing end user support as needed. Consult with clients,vendors, and personnel in other departments or foreman to discuss, estimate, and resolve issues. Assist with budgeting, vendor coordination, hardware procurement, and asset management. Provide cost analysis data when upgrading or purchasing new hardware, software, or equipment. Complete all over tasks assigned by supervisor.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field: preferred Experience: 5+ years of experience Computer Skills: Windows Server Administration (2019, 2022, 2025) Active Directory and Group Policy Office 365 and Azure Administration Aruba Wireless Networks Administration Cisco Meraki Firewalls and VPNs Fortinet Switching Infrastructure Citrix Administration Network administration Hardware and Software installation and administration. Experience supporting enterprise network environments. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
