ELECTRIC GENERATION SYSTEM PROGRAM SPECIALIST I

Electric Generation System Program Specialist IThe Fuels and Transportation Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electric Generation System Program Specialist I (EGSPS I) to support the advancement of zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure across California. As part of the Infrastructure Modeling and Assessment Unit within the Zero Emission Vehicles Acceleration Branch, the incumbent will serve as a technical lead for planning, modeling, and analyzing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. The EGSPS I will conduct complex energy system modeling, develop data-driven strategies to inform infrastructure investments, and lead interagency collaboration to support statewide ZEV goals. Duties include technical assessments of charging and refueling systems, developing modeling frameworks to forecast charging needs, development of analytical workplans and reports, grant and contract management, and stakeholder engagement. The data analysis will help model the charger needs of the state for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles. The work will require working with large databases not easily managed and analyzed with spreadsheet software and will require the ability to combine databases of different origins and structures. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Clean Transportation Program and California's broader climate and equity objectives.
