Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving / Cooler Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy in a refrigerated (cooler) environment. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, dispatching knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Experience with FAMOUS Software is highly preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Prepare and stage outgoing orders according to customer specifications.
• Load and unload trucks safely using a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
• Organize and maintain inventory within the cooler while following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities with drivers and warehouse personnel.
• Schedule and dispatch deliveries and pickups as needed.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Utilize warehouse management systems and shipping software to process orders.
• Operate RF scanners and complete required documentation.
• Ensure products are stored and handled according to food safety and company standards.
• Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Follow all company policies, OSHA guidelines, GMP, HACCP, and food safety procedures.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Previous dispatching experience required.
• Forklift certification or experience operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts required.
• Experience working in a refrigerated or cooler environment preferred.
• Experience with FAMOUS Software is a plus.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a refrigerated cooler environment for extended periods.
• Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds .
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the food manufacturing or food distribution industry.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Experience with FAMOUS Software highly preferred.
