Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Floating Required: Per facility needs

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; Every other holiday

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The RN is responsible for monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall health.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias using appropriate interventions.
• Utilize Rapid Response and Code teams as needed for urgent situations.
• Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and care.
• Administer medications, oxygen therapy, and peripheral line management.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and other safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med-Surg/Tele experience required.
• Current New York State RN License is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
