Litigation Attorney
Location: Charlotte, Raleigh, or Fayetteville
Compensation: $100-150k salary + commission from settlements/verdicts

Position Overview
Award winning firm located in Charlotte is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Attorney with an emphasis in medical malpractice to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice law, with a passion for advocating for plaintiffs, and trial experience as 1st or 2nd chair. This position is crucial in representing clients who have suffered due to medical negligence, ensuring they receive the justice and compensation they deserve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in medical malpractice cases from initial consultation through trial.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Develop case strategies and engage with clients to gather relevant information.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
  • Present cases in court and advocate for clients during trials and hearings.
  • Stay updated on legal developments in medical malpractice and personal injury law.
  • Collaborate with medical experts and consultants to build strong cases.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the North Carolina Bar Association.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical malpractice law and relevant legal procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
