Travel Physical Therapist - $1,976 per week

Job Title Travel Physical Therapist – 13‑week assignment in Hickory, North Carolina. Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Physical Therapy experience; new graduates welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills. Physical abilities: stationary position, moving equipment (50‑100 lbs), push/pull, bend. Interpersonal skills: effective work with a variety of personnel. Technical/Motor skills: fine manipulation when assisting with procedures. Mental: handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with minimal supervision. Sensory: visual acuity, effective communication.
