These plans emphasize meaningful participation, skill-building, education, and work experiences that enhance employability and overall family well-being. Use motivational interviewing techniques to inspire confidence and persistence in achieving employment goals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment services, contractors, and community resources to effectively tailor referrals and supports for families with varying levels of employment readiness—including those re-entering the workforce, individuals with limited experience, or those with criminal justice involvement. Support individuals experiencing domestic violence through crisis intervention and safety planning, ensuring immediate access to resources, emergency funding, and ongoing support. Essential Attributes Demonstrate a commitment to equity, inclusion, and person-centered service by recognizing and honoring the diverse experiences, cultures, and strengths of the families we serve. Experience using motivational interviewing and strength-based case management to empower individuals and families, focusing on their strengths, goals, and self-determination. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be self-motivated, and engage in continuous learning, with openness to feedback and growth in an environment that values collaboration and innovation. Experience with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and empathy in a high-volume and fast-paced setting. Demonstrated ability to clearly explain complex rules, policies, and processes in an accessible and compassionate way that preserves dignity, builds trust, and promote understanding across diverse populations. Knowledge of ODHS programs and community resources, and the ability to coordinate services across multiple systems to ensure holistic and equitable support for individuals and families.
