Job Summary: \n
\nWe are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. The role includes outpatient clinic duties, surgical procedures, discharge planning, and compliance with VA policies and patient safety standards.\n

\n Qualifications: \n
\n- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.\n
\n- Board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Surgery\n
\n- Current BLS and ACLS certification\n
\n- Valid NPI, DEA, and OIG clearance\n
\n- Proficiency in English and adherence to VA medical staff bylaws\n
\n- Documentation of education, training, and experience\n
\n
Responsibilities: \n
\n- Provide timely general surgery care and follow-up\n
\n- Attend scheduled clinics and OR sessions\n
\n- Communicate test results per VHA Directive 1088\n
\n- Ensure compliance with medication and discharge protocols\n
\n- Report and document patient safety incidents within 24 hours\n
\n
