Journeyman WelderThe Journeyman Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication of piping systems and structural components for commercial and industrial mechanical projects. This role works independently or as part of a crew to ensure installations meet all codes, specifications, and company standards for safety and quality.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform SMAW, GTAW (TIG), and GMAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipingRead and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding proceduresFabricate, assemble, and install piping systemsInspect welds to ensure compliance with codes and project specificationsMaintain welding equipment and ensure proper setup and operationFollow all OSHA and company safety standardsCoordinate with pipefitters, foremen, and supervisors on jobsite activitiesQualificationsMinimum 4 years of commercial or industrial welding experienceAbility to pass required weld tests (X-ray quality preferred)Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and proceduresAbility to read and interpret blueprints and specificationsOSHA 10 certification preferredValid driver's licenseComfort Systems USA, Inc. and all subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers, and we prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type.
