As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying potential security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures. Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, helping to control entry to restricted areas and reporting unauthorized access attempts. Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
