Registered Nurse Residency ProgramWinter 2026Medical/Surgical Specialty - Neuro UnitThe RN Residency Program is designed for the soon-to-be or newly licensed or an RN with less than one year of experience. Our mission is to prepare RNs to successfully transition to practice by strengthening clinical skills and establishing a shared knowledge base that bridges the classroom academic experience with the hands-on clinical hospital experience.Within CentraState Medical Center, Neuroscience Unit 4 East offers a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of neuroscience in a supportive and engaging environment. This 28-bed unit cares for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological and spinal conditions, including stroke, brain injury, TIA, seizures, and alcohol withdrawal. It is a unit where nurses and support staff can sharpen their clinical skills and grow into a specialty that is both challenging and rewarding. With self-scheduling and a favorable nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4 or 5, the unit is led by seasoned management who are deeply familiar with CentraState's core values and committed to providing the feedback, guidance, and encouragement essential for professional growth.CentraState Medical Center has an employment opportunity available for an RN Resident. The RN Residency Program at CentraState is designed to provide a structured transition into practice for newly licensed Registered Nurses at CentraState Healthcare System. The program includes preceptorship, progressive clinical experience, didactic, and simulation experience. This twelve-month orientation offers great flexibility in meeting your individual needs.
