Civil Engineering Intern

Public Works Intern Halff has an immediate opening for an Intern for our Public Works/Land Development team in our San Antonio, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will assist with design and plan production of Public and Private Infrastructure projects. Interns are paid hourly and will be scheduled 12 - 24 hours per week based on availability. Halff does not pay for or provide housing for the Internship. What you will do: Using the associated programs, the intern will assist in the production of plans and specifications for civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer and/or Engineer-in-Training Perform CAD drafting work in AutoCad and/or MicroStation Perform calculations and analysis for design projects Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies What you will need: Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree Great communication skills Solid relationship and team building skills Self-motivated and strong organization skills The Halff Public Works Advantage Diverse and interdisciplinary teams can manage projects from inception through completion.
