Beech Mountain Resort is seeking motivated individuals to join the Race Timing Staff. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely results for ski and snowboard races. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working outdoors, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down timing equipment for races
- Operate timing systems during ski and snowboard races
- Record and post race results accurately and promptly
- Communicate with race officials, participants, and staff to ensure smooth race operations
- Assist with data entry and reporting for race results
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot timing issues during events
Requirements or Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Experience with timing systems or race events is a plus
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and Excel/Google Sheets
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Must be able to lift and set up equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and during peak periods
- Reliable transportation required with the ability to navigate snowy or winter conditions
