Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an average 1:3 patient ratio
• Support postpartum patients at a 1:1 patient ratio as needed
• Utilize CPSI and Perigen electronic charting systems for documentation
• Occasionally assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed
• Adhere to facility dress code; any color scrubs are acceptable

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas or Multistate RN license required at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification, and NRP required — BLS, ACLS, and NRP must be issued through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting required
• Postpartum nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine strongly preferred; religious and medical exemptions are accepted, though unvaccinated staff may be required to wear a mask during flu season
• Local travelers are welcome and considered at the same rate as traveling candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with CPSI and/or Perigen charting systems
• Comfort working in a small, rural hospital environment with a varied patient census
