Job Details TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a temporary 13‑week assignment (40 hours per week) in Norfolk, Virginia. The position requires a minimum of 6 months of experience (1 year preferred) and a state‑specific license. BLS certification is mandatory. The contract is 8‑hour shifts per day, and compensation includes a tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined). Responsibilities Evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for a variety of acute‑care patient populations. Oversee and supervise PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians). Bill accurately according to facility guidelines. Adhere to the rules and regulations of the relevant PT board and state mandates. Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure a team–focused plan of care. Understand and utilize adaptive equipment as appropriate. Evaluate and create comprehensive plans of care. Modify plans of care based on patient condition. Use the medical center’s computer systems for daily tasks. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and insurance guidelines. Qualifications Minimum 6 months of experience in physical therapy (new graduates encouraged to apply). BLS certification and a current state license. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for prolonged periods. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
