# Staff AccountantTYLER, TX 75701## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Description# POSITION SUMMARYThe Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements. # POSITION GOALS* Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.* Assist in resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.* Organize and update financial records.* Prepare documentation for external auditors.* Responsible for issuance of 1099 forms at the end of the year.* Assist Director of Finance with grant management and compliance.* Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.* Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results* Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.* Support month-end and year-end close process.* Perform additional duties as requested by the Chief Financial Officer and/or /Director of Finance.* Make daily deposits and maintain petty cash.* Responsible for paying bills and keeping files on billing.* Assist in the preparation for and execution of the annual financial audit.# WORKING CONDITIONSThis position works in an office environment and requires sitting at a computer for prolonged periods of time.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and levels of work to be performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties. #J-18808-Ljbffr
