Pediatrician PositionThe Pediatrician will conduct thorough examinations, diagnose illness, prescribe medications, administer vaccines, and provide guidance to parents regarding their child's health, development, and well-being. The Pediatrician will play a crucial role in monitoring and promoting the overall health and normal physical development of newborns, young children, and adolescents. The Pediatrician may oversee mid-level providers administering pediatric services.Specific responsibilities include:Facilitating regular meetings with the pediatric providers and pediatric clinical leadershipRegular review of quality metrics related to pediatric medical care at HCCHProvision of primary care and urgent care for a panel of pediatric patients at HCCHExamination and treatment of patients in the officeReferral of patients for specialist services, as neededAssistance with triage of pediatric patientsMaintenance of electronic medical recordsDevelopment of cooperative arrangements with other pediatric health providers and subspecialistParticipation in community outreach events related to pediatricsPromotion of goodwill and a positive work environment between HCCH employeesMaintenance of respectful and open dialogue with HCCH leadershipPromote the rights and needs of children's healthProvide specialized care for complex health issuesHave in-depth knowledge of children's healthHave excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilitiesHave effective communication skillsHave patience and a caring demeanorRequirements:MD or DO degreeCompletion of an accredited residency program in pediatricsBoard certification in PediatricsPrior experience working with an electronic medical record system.Previous experience with primary medical care.
