Medical AR Specialist

Columbus Oncology and Hematology is looking for a full‑time Medical AR Specialist to join our team. We are a private practice that offers services at three locations throughout the Columbus area. This position is responsible for claim follow‑up, denial management, patient billing and account reconciliation. Location: onsite at our Dublin, Ohio business location. This is not a remote position, but a hybrid opportunity is available after training. Proven experience in reviewing, researching and claiming follow‑up on insurance denials. Proven experience in submitting tiered appeals using precise arguments based on clinical documentation and payer medical policies. Ability to navigate Practice Management and EHR to identify aged outstanding balances. Ability to review medical necessity to defend high dollar claims. Identify, review, research and resolve credit balances, ensuring the correct disposition of funds. Strong documentation skills are required for follow‑up activities to provide a historical timeline of actions taken. Qualifications Two or more years’ experience in a physician practice business office performing AR follow‑up, denial management, and reimbursement activities.
