Assistant Branch Manager

Assistant Branch Manager Cedar Park| Location: 511 N. Bell Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613 | Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00am-5:45PM and rotating Saturdays: 8:45am-12:15pm | FLSA Status: Nonexempt.

Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is looking for a people-first Assistant Branch Manager who loves coaching teams, solving problems, and creating exceptional member experiences. If youre ready to grow your leadership career in a supportive, community-focused environment, this is the place for you.

What Youll Do:

Branch & Member Service Leadership

  • Support daily branch operations and lead the teller team
  • Deliver friendly, accurate service to members in person and by phone
  • Open new accounts and assist with loans, IRAs, HSAs, CDs, and business accounts
  • Serve as acting Branch Manager when needed

Operational Excellence

  • Open and close the branch and oversee daily operations
  • Maintain and balance cash drawers, vaults, ATMs, and branch cash controls
  • Support fraud/dispute processes, stop-payments, and card services
  • Assist with audits, cash ordering, and regulatory compliance
  • Support mobile deposits and online account services
  • Provide coverage and leadership support at nearby branch locations as needed to ensure consistent service and staffing across the region

Team Coaching & Development

  • Lead, coach, and motivate branch staff to deliver exceptional member experiences
  • Assign and direct daily work, monitor performance, and provide feedback
  • Support conflict resolution and professional development
  • Foster a positive, accountable, member-focused culture

Community Engagement

  • Build strong member relationships and promote financial literacy
  • Participate in community outreach and represent Austin Telco with professionalism

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a bank or credit union setting
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead a team and manage branch operations independently
  • Familiarity with cash handling, security procedures, and fraud processes
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility for occasional after-hours needs
  • Willingness to travel to other branches to support staffing and service needs
