Nexus Recovery – Chelmsford is a licensed substance use disorder treatment program in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, providing 24-hour Diversionary Withdrawal Management Services (Acute Treatment Services/ATS, ASAM Level 3.7) and Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS, ASAM Level 3.5). The program admits and provides services 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and operates under licensure of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Addiction Services, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. We are dedicated to helping individuals initiate and sustain long-term, meaningful recovery.

Essential Functions

• Provide day-to-day clinical supervision and support to assigned counseling and direct-care staff.

• Provide regularly scheduled individual and/or group clinical supervision in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor the quality and appropriateness of substance use disorder treatment services provided within the ATS and CSS programs.

• Review treatment plans, progress notes, assessments, discharge documentation, and other clinical records for quality, timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.

• Provide coaching and corrective guidance to clinical staff regarding documentation, treatment planning, clinical interventions, professional boundaries, and client care.

• Assist in ensuring clinical services comply with applicable Massachusetts Department of Public Health/Bureau of Substance Addiction Services requirements and other applicable state and federal regulations.

• Ensure staff maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and organizational privacy and confidentiality requirements.

• Support the implementation and coordination of individualized treatment plans and ensure services are consistent with each client's assessed needs and level of care.

• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, clinical case reviews, utilization review activities, and other meetings as assigned.

• Collaborate with medical, nursing, case management, recovery support, admissions, and other departments to promote coordinated client care.

• Identify clinical or documentation deficiencies and work with staff to implement timely corrective action.

• Assist with chart audits, quality assurance activities, incident reviews, and preparation for regulatory surveys or inspections.

• Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing feedback regarding clinical competency, documentation, productivity, attendance, professionalism, and adherence to organizational policies.

• Escalate significant clinical, compliance, personnel, or client-safety concerns to the Clinical Director, Program Director, or other appropriate leadership.

• Provide individual and group clinical services as needed to support program operations and client needs.

• Assist with orientation, training, and ongoing development of clinical staff.

• Participate in management and clinical leadership meetings as requested.

• Participate in weekend or Saturday clinical coverage/rotation when required by program needs.

• Maintain professional boundaries and model ethical and clinically appropriate behavior at all times.

• Perform other clinical and supervisory duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related behavioral health field.

• Appropriate Massachusetts clinical licensure or credentialing consistent with the requirements of the position and services supervised.

• Experience providing substance use disorder and/or co-occurring mental health treatment services.

• Prior clinical supervision or leadership experience strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment, co-occurring disorders, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and evidence-based practices.

• Knowledge of Massachusetts substance use disorder treatment regulations and applicable confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, organizational, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to effectively supervise staff and work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
