SR Specialized BI Analyst

Role Description

As an integral member of the Analytics Team, the Senior Specialized Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for creating advanced, information-based, business intelligence deliverables that will be relied upon by organizational leaders to support critical business decisions.

• Provide domain expertise in one or more specific areas, such as:
  • Clinical
  • Consumer experience
  • Finance
  • Human resources
  • Marketing
  • Medical insurance
  • Operational effectiveness
  • Supply chain
• Work with customers across the organization in clinical, administrative, and/or operational areas to provide analytical insights from reports and/or dashboard visualizations.
• Facilitate discovery of new opportunities and support data-informed decision-making.
• Develop new and enhance existing metrics to analyze ongoing performance metrics.
• Communicate insights and opportunities to leadership and analytical needs to technical teams.
• Serve as a domain expert and mentor to other team members.
• Understand and define the problems being solved, procure and integrate data sources, and deliver relevant analytics tools.
• Implement and support solutions for ongoing utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, management information systems, data science, business administration, statistics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Associate Certified Analytics Professional (aCAP) or another vendor-neutral analytics certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience providing similar analytics services.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience collaborating with customers on analytics deliverables.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in building self-service analytic reports, dashboards, and tools.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, SQL, and visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
• Experience with statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, SPSS preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Requirements

• Epic Caboodle certification and/or hands-on Caboodle development experience.
• Epic Cogito certification and reporting experience.
• Advanced SQL querying, development, and data validation.
• Dashboard and report development using Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
• Experience with healthcare data warehousing, analytics, and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of clinical quality, physician performance, and operational metrics.
• Data modeling, data visualization, and performance analytics expertise.
• Experience supporting analytics applications, troubleshooting issues, and resolving support tickets.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
