About This Role The New Grad RN Resident in the Progressive Care Step Down Unit at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital provides exceptional patient care in a supportive environment. This role is ideal for recent nursing graduates looking to develop their skills in a Magnet‑designated facility. Highlights Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour Location: Warrensville Hts, OH Facility: South Pointe Hospital Department/Unit: Progressive Cardiac Care Unit Schedule: Full‑time, Day shift What You'll Do Assist fellow caregivers with providing exceptional care to patients from initial introduction to discharge. Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education. Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs. Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach. Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability. Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent risk. Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently. Document in patients’ medical records. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Experience: New grad or less than one year of RN work experience required. Experience RN moving from non‑inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year of current acute direct patient care RN experience. Licenses & Certifications: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross required.
