SEO / Semrush Specialist Help Small Businesses Win on Google At CGI Digital, we help small businesses across the country improve their visibility and grow through powerful digital marketing strategies. We’re looking for an SEO Specialist with hands‑on experience in SEMrush (Core and/or Enterprise) and a deep interest in the evolving landscape of Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and AI‑driven search. If you’re passionate about local SEO, love digging into data, and enjoy turning insights into measurable ranking improvements across both traditional and AI‑powered search engines, this role is for you. What You’ll Do As an SEO Specialist, you’ll serve as a subject matter expert in local SEO and collaborate closely with our SEO Team and Account Team to ensure our clients remain visible not just on Google, but within the AI search tools and LLMs that customers use today. Core Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive SEO audits on client websites using on‑site best practices Implement and optimize SEO and AEO strategies on CGI‑built WordPress (Divi) websites Execute SEO / AEO improvements on third‑party CMS platforms (Squarespace, GoDaddy, Wix, Weebly, etc.) Perform ongoing keyword research, competitor analysis, and content optimization Manage SEO campaigns using SEMrush Core and/or SEMrush Enterprise Monitor rankings, technical health, and performance metrics using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEMrush Translate data insights into actionable strategies for the Account Team Present emerging SEO and AI search trends, updates, and algorithm changes on a bi‑monthly basis Work with the SEO Team Manager to develop and refine internal SEO processes to improve efficiency and client outcomes What Makes You a Strong Fit 2+ years of SEO or digital marketing experience Proven experience executing and managing local SEO campaigns Understanding of AEO and what drives AI / LLM visibility You are passionate about SEO and driving real results for local businesses You have hands‑on experience with SEMrush Core and/or SEMrush Enterprise You understand local SEO strategy, including on‑page, technical, and content optimization You’re comfortable working inside WordPress and other CMS platforms You’re familiar with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other SEO toolsets You have strong analytical skills and enjoy working with performance data You are detail‑oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines You communicate clearly, both written and verbal Strong problem‑solving mindset and process improvement experience You can work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Familiarity with AI tools (GPTs, Agents, etc.) for research, task / workflow efficiency, or fun Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000 Eligible for Performance-Based Quarterly Bonuses #J-18808-Ljbffr CGI Digital
