Medical Assistant - Clinical Care (Full-Time)

Location: Lafayette, LA 70501
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM | Friday 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role is responsible for supporting providers in delivering high-quality patient care by executing clinical tasks, assisting with treatments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Assist providers by accurately carrying out treatment orders and clinical instructions
Take and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.)
Perform blood draws and specimen collection as required
Conduct X-rays (if certified)
Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting
Support and participate in daily clinical operations and patient flow
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care at all times

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a hospital or clinic setting
Current CPR certification

Additional Details

Work Environment: Clinical setting (no in-home care)
Travel: Occasional travel may be required to Baton Rouge for coverage (not within the same shift)
