We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to join a growing telecom team in Charlotte, NC.

In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end billing operations , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely invoicing across a variety of services and customer types, including commercial and E-Rate clients.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Billing & Order Management

• Perform accurate order entry and billing setup
• Ensure billing aligns with customer agreements and service activation dates
• Maintain accuracy across multiple telecom product lines

Monthly Billing Operations

• Generate and review invoices for accuracy
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies
• Support monthly billing cycles and deadlines

Payments & Reconciliation

• Apply customer payments and reconcile accounts
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
• Collaborate with collections and accounting teams

Billing Research & Adjustments

• Handle billing inquiries and customer issues
• Process credits, adjustments, and re-bills
• Maintain audit-ready documentation

E-Rate Billing Support

• Assist with E-Rate invoicing and compliance
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet regulatory requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:

  • Customer Service
  • Operations
  • Accounting teams

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts-related roles
• Experience in telecom, utilities, or high-volume environments preferred
• Familiarity with billing systems such as Salesforce or Sitetracker (a plus)
• Strong understanding of billing cycles and processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong communication and customer-focused mindset

⭐ Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of E-Rate billing or USAC processes
• Experience with telecom billing products or services
