Instrument Commissioning Technician

Responsibilities Lead by example in Health, Safety, and Environment by prioritizing personal safety and actively participating in safety meetings and site visits. Intervene and Stop the Job when he / she encounters unsafe acts or situations. Execute daily activities within the Control of Work process which may include generating work permits, performing energy isolations and attending permit review meetings as required. Attend daily Toolbox Talks and provide input to the Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s). Perform pre-commissioning or static commissioning checks as per the required documentation such as Inspection Test Reports (ITR’s). Calibration of 24V DC instrumentation such as control valves, transmitters (pressure, temperature, level, and temperature), analyzers. Setup of valve position switches or transmitters. Perform multi-device control loop verifications. Support multi‑discipline dynamic commissioning activities that validate engineering design and construction/installation of plant equipment as directed by the lead commissioning coordinator/engineer. Perform sub‑system and system walkdowns for acceptance and submit any documentation to the Completions team for handover purposes. Provide start‑up support to the Operations team as required. Qualifications Formal technical college training and education in Industrial Instrumentation. NCCER certified in Industrial Instrumentation. 5+ years of Pre‑Commissioning & Commissioning experience in a similar role. Experience working with multi‑discipline teams. Highly experienced with various types and manufacturers of calibration equipment. Candidate should be a motivated self‑starter with complex problem‑solving ability. Excellent communication skills and team‑oriented personality required to interface with Construction and Operations Teams. A detailed working knowledge of industrial facilities is required. LNG experience a plus. Ability to work varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime, weekends, nights and holidays. Working knowledge of using hand and power tools. Ability to work respectively with others and work independently. Ability to complete designated amount of work in a specified time frame (quality jobs per day), adjusting work assignments or schedules to meet changing work‑related priorities or demands. Ability to climb and work at elevations from ladders, poles, lift trucks exceeding 18 feet. Ability to work in restricted spaces. Ability to perform strenuous physical activities including, but not limited to, lifting objects weighing over 75 pounds. Ability to perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions (extreme cold and/or heat, inclement weather). Must have reliable transportation. Must have proficiency in MS Office Applications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
