We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and help maintain the financial health of our growing company.Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain general ledger entries and ensure accuracy in financial records.Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.Prepare and analyze financial statements to support decision-making.Monitor and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.Support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation.Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.1-3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate or construction-related environment).Proficiency in accounting software (Great Plains, Dynamics 365, or similar ERP system preferred).Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.High attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.Why Join Pella?
