The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. The Program Manager supports initiatives within the Program for Reducing Cervical Cancer and the Department of Gynecologic Oncology & Reproductive Medicine through operational leadership, project coordination, data management, reporting, and executive support functions that advance cancer prevention and capacity building efforts domestically and internationally.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to expanding access to cervical cancer prevention, screening and provider education for underserved populations in Houston, across Texas and globally global health access and cancer prevention efforts through the Program for Reducing Cervical Cancer initiatives and Global Oncology initiatives. The position provides exposure to grant-funded research, international capacity-building programs, collaboration with physician-scientists and community global partners, and the opportunity to support meaningful work that improves cancer outcomes across Texas and worldwide while developing expertise in program operations, research administration, and executive-level project management. • Employer-paid medical coverage starting day one for employees working 30+ hours/week, plus optional group dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance.

Operational Management
• Manage a large volume of daily research, operational, and capacity-building activities associated with the Program for Reducing Cervical Cancer.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee program operations, budgets, development activities, dissemination efforts, and implementation of program interventions and materials
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, reports, milestones, deliverables, and short-term and long-term goals
• Develop and maintain process maps and operational procedures
• Create and maintain shared folders and information repositories to facilitate collaboration across operational units
• Manage Project ECHO programs and support program development and implementation
• Supervise and manage the program coordinator
Project Coordination & Strategic Initiatives
• Develop meeting invitations, agendas, minutes, action-item trackers, and follow-up communications
• Track action items and ensure alignment with upcoming meetings and project deliverables
• Manage the development and execution of strategic priorities and organizational frameworks
• Coordinate stakeholder communications and provide consistent updates on execution metrics
• Track project progress against anticipated timelines and recommend improvement strategies based on programmatic data
• Create tools, templates, and resources to support project management and stakeholder reporting
Data Management & Reporting
• Monitor project implementation, progress, outcomes, and impact across initiatives
• Complete internal and external progress reports, presentations, and related documentation
• Conduct needs assessments to support program planning and continuous improvement
• Prepare progress analyses and reporting materials for leadership and stakeholders
• Develop reporting mechanisms to evaluate project performance and support informed decision-making
Communications & Program Promotion
• Prepare draft presentation content and coordinate communications with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop, write, update, and maintain print and online materials promoting program initiatives
• Maintain and update project website content to ensure accuracy and relevance
• Support dissemination of program information and communication of key milestones and outcomes
Executive Support
• Manage calendars and daily activities for program leadership and team members
• Coordinate large and complex meetings involving leaders from internal and external organizations
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure effective meeting coordination
• Prepare presentations for program meetings, conferences, and leadership discussions
• Prepare grant proposals, reports, and funding requests
• Manage submissions requiring executive approval, including proofreading and document tracking
• Maintain approval-related databases and records
• Coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursement activities for leadership and team members EDUCATION

This position will play a key role in developing infrastructure, managing strategic priorities, and ensuring successful execution of complex programs focused on reducing the burden of cervical cancer.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and self-directed program management professional with experience coordinating complex operational and strategic initiatives. Preferred qualifications include project and program management expertise, grant and progress-report writing experience, executive support experience for senior leaders, and a PMP or CAPM certification. Experience in healthcare, academic medicine, public health, global health programs, or international initiatives is highly desirable.
