Mid-Level Corporate M&A Associate (San Diego)

DLA Piper is seeking a mid-level associate to join our growing corporate group in the San Diego office. The candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience executing merger and acquisitions transactions for private and public companies, with a desired emphasis on drafting principal acquisition agreements and direct negotiation thereof. Candidates must have direct and applicable big law firm experience, immediately transferable skills and strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools. Candidates must be admitted to practice in California. Education JD Bar Admission Licensed to practice in California. Experience 4-6 years of M&A experience with private and public companies. Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm preferred. Experience in complex cross-border transactions and global corporate restructurings is preferred but not required. Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Work Environment Hybrid - Regular in-office presence with some flexibility for work-from-home Pay Transparency The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000 per year depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
