Job Full Description Industrial Lab Technician - $19.75/hr Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Industrial Quality Lab Technician for a local manufacturer in Alcoa, TN at a fast-paced, heavy-industrial environment. This role is best suited for candidates with hands-on laboratory experience, as well as industrial or manufacturing exposure.
Pay & Schedule Starting pay is $19.75 per hour with opportunities for increases.
This position requires availability for 12-hour rotating shifts, including overtime and weekends as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities Perform sample testing on materials, including control samples, while ensuring accuracy through proper calibration of lab equipment. Analyze results quickly to support real-time production decisions and communicate any quality concerns to supervisors. Maintain detailed documentation of all findings and testing data. Monitor processes, identify changes or irregularities, and assist with troubleshooting. During slower periods, complete lab cleaning, equipment upkeep, and light maintenance while ensuring all records remain current.
Qualifications Laboratory experience strongly preferred, along with industrial or manufacturing exposure. Must be able to work quickly and accurately in a time-sensitive environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and SAP experience is a plus. High School Diploma or GED required.
