South Bronx United (SBU) uses soccer as a tool for social change, aiming to help youth build character, teamwork, and leadership to succeed in high school, college, careers, and their community. Founded in 2009, SBU delivers year‐round programs that combine academic enrichment, tutoring, college prep, mentoring, leadership activities, health and wellness programming, and individual and family supports with soccer programming. Over 1,900 girls and boys participate. Position Development Associate – AmeriCorps VISTA Responsibilities Enhance event logistics planning for the Annual Benefit by updating and finalizing templates, timelines, and checklists. Improve the functionality and usage of the Salesforce database system for tracking donors. Create communication materials for individual donors and community outreach opportunities and events. Collaborate on grant applications and develop a grant‑tracking system and calendar. Work closely with the Development Coordinator, Director of Individual Giving and Events, and Executive Director.
