Maintenance Technician

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. The role is onsite at an office building in Somerset, NJ, USA. Standard hours are 7am‑4pm, Monday‑Friday. What You'll Do Undertake routine maintenance and servicing of mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. Stock restrooms and perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Manage and communicate with external vendors when needed. Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and execute repairs. Support the setup and alteration of building machinery and structures. Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to supervise completion. Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently. Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. What You'll Need High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑2 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Capability to adhere to fundamental work routines and standards in the execution of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Must be able to speak and understand English proficiently. Shown understanding of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent attention to detail, along with a curious mentality. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Equal Pay Disclaimer: The minimum base salary for the Maintenance Technician is $21.64/hour and the maximum base salary is $24.04/hour. Compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
