ICU Nurse

The ICU Nurse is a specialized healthcare professional responsible for providing critical care to patients in intensive care units. They deliver expert nursing services, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients to identify changes in condition and prioritize interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and standards of care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient status, treatment plans, and care activities.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ICU equipment and emergency procedures to respond effectively in urgent situations.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience in a high-acuity setting.
• Be BLS and ACLS certified.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills.
• Show professionalism and ability to work effectively within a team.
