The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring smooth operations in a general practice setting. Working within a medium-sized team, this role involves preparing patients, managing electronic health records, and assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks. The Medical Assistant reports directly to the Office Manager and Physicians and does not require any travel.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Measure and record vital signs
- Manage and update electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently
- Administer medications as directed
- Handle and maintain medical equipment
- Manage inventory to ensure medical supplies are stocked
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical assistance
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant credential
- Familiarity with patient care and medical terminology
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management
- Experience with vital signs measurement and appointment scheduling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail
