Sollie  Health is seeking a dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator / Medical Front Office Specialist to join our growing medical practice in Spring, TX. This person will serve as the first point of contact for patients and will play a key role in creating a smooth, warm, and organized patient experience.

The ideal candidate is comfortable answering phones, scheduling patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments, following up with new patient inquiries, and keeping daily front office tasks organized.

This is not a passive front desk role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, follow systems, communicate clearly, and help ensure patients feel cared for from their first call through checkout and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, voicemails, texts, and patient messages in a timely and professional manner
• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and checkout
• Schedule new and established patient appointments
• Follow up with new patient inquiries and help convert leads into scheduled visits
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Collect copays, balances, and self-pay fees
• Explain basic office policies, pricing, scheduling expectations, and next steps
• Confirm appointments
• Track missed calls, cancellations, patient follow-ups, and new patient leads
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and communication platforms
• Communicate patient needs, questions, and concerns to the provider when appropriate
• Assist with lab follow-ups, appointment reminders, and follow-up scheduling
• Maintain a calm, professional, and organized front office environment
• Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA standards
• Avoid giving medical advice and escalate clinical questions to the provider

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certificate required
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Prior medical office or front desk experience required - Medical Assistant experience required
• Insurance verification experience required
• EMR/EHR experience required
• Strong phone etiquette and written communication skills required
• Computer proficiency required
• Comfortable using scheduling systems, phones, and patient messaging platforms
• Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and able to follow through on tasks
• Must maintain patient confidentiality Preferred Experience
• Experience in primary care, internal medicine, hormone health, weight loss, or wellness practice
