Commercial Electrical Sales & Business Development Manager

Dallas-Fort Worth, TX | Full-Time | Base Salary + Commission

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Sales & Business Development Manager to help grow our commercial service and light construction division throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

This is a relationship-driven business development role focused on generating new commercial opportunities and developing long-term customer partnerships. The ideal candidate will have an established network of commercial property managers, facility managers, building engineers, ownership groups, general contractors, and commercial customers and the ability to generate immediate opportunities for our service technicians and project teams.

The right candidate will understand the commercial electrical industry, know how projects are developed and executed, and be comfortable identifying customer needs and connecting them with the right electrical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial property managers, facility managers, building engineers, ownership groups, general contractors, and commercial customers
• Generate new business opportunities for commercial electrical service, maintenance, and construction
• Identify opportunities for:
• • Electrical service and repairs
  • Preventive maintenance contracts
  • Lighting upgrades and retrofits
  • Tenant finish-outs
  • Renovations and capital improvement projects
  • EV charger installations
  • Sign work
  • Electrical upgrades and installations
  • Other commercial electrical projects
• Prospect for new customers and expand the commercial customer base
• Conduct customer visits, site walks, and project assessments
• Build relationships with decision-makers and identify upcoming maintenance, renovation, and construction needs
• Work closely with ownership, estimators, project managers, and service operations to develop solutions and proposals
• Maintain regular communication with existing customers to identify additional service and project opportunities
• Manage the sales pipeline and consistently follow up on opportunities
• Track customer interactions, opportunities, proposals, and sales activity within company systems
• Attend industry networking events, trade associations, property management meetings, and other business development functions
• Participate in customer retention and account growth strategies
• Represent the company professionally in all customer and industry interactions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical sales, business development, project management, electrical service, or a related field
• Established network of commercial contacts throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market
• Proven ability to generate commercial electrical opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, service work, maintenance, and construction processes
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend practical electrical solutions
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a commercial electrician
• Texas Journeyman Electrician License
• Texas Mast
