Facility: Marsh Med Ctr Location: Marshfield, WI Address: 611 N St Joseph Ave, Marshfield, WI 54449, USA Shift: Day Job Schedule: PRN Weekly Hours: Varies Job Summary Performs the duties of a cardiac technologist: invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures and electrophysiology procedures using sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. Works as a recording professional who monitors, records, and analyzes the patient’s electrocardiogram (EKG) and intracardiac pressures. Assists the medical team with sterile procedures. Operates X‑ray equipment and other laboratory equipment. Runs blood samples and obtains sterile supplies when needed. Works with patients of all ages, from newborn to geriatric. Dedicated to electrophysiology (EP) procedures, related protocols, and related technological devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs), and biventricular pacemakers (BiV). Ensures the highest quality of care for patients with rhythm disturbances, providing advanced care for conditions including conduction disorders. Possesses expertise in pharmacologic options for treatment and understands special protocols for conscious sedation patients. Holds thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X‑ray techniques, and emergent and routine cardiac care. Is accountable for updating self and staff regarding EP protocols and for addressing the growth and development needs of client populations including children to geriatrics. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience required. Expert understanding of pharmacologic options for treating patients and advanced cardiac rhythm management. Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) registry through Cardiovascular Credentialing International within 18 months of hire required. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI preferred. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred if applicable.
