Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical (MS) Telemetry Nurse to provide patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. The role requires flexibility to float to step-down units and adapt to various clinical environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including cardiac status via EKG interpretation.
• Administer and manage cardiac drips, ensuring accurate dosing and patient safety.
• Perform wound care procedures and manage IV therapies with confidence.
• Read and interpret EKG strips, responding promptly to abnormal rhythms.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to step-down units as needed, maintaining high standards of care across departments.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State (NYS) RN license.
• Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Have a minimum of 2 years current medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Exhibit strong IV skills and confidence working with cardiac drips.
• Demonstrate experience reading EKG strips and managing wound care.
• Pass NIH Stroke Certification prior to start; completion of additional CEUs required.
